What We Do
At OCO (Ottawa Chiropractic & Osteopathy) we use a unique approach to healthcare management that is a combination of techniques used by practitioners around the globe.
Our practitioners are able to address structural and nervous system weaknesses that may be the real CAUSES of a wide range of complaints, to help you achieve superior and sustainable results.
Relieve the physical strain/tension pattern the is a result of past injuries first.
We use a form of hands on work called osteofascial release. This technique gets deeper than the traditional myofascial work practice by so many other practitioners and the results are long lasting.
Address neuromuscular weaknesses that have developed as a result of past injuries.
We use treatment that involves neuromuscular specific actions and low level laser therapy to address these issues that may remain once the physical strain pattern is dealt with.
What complaints may be helped?*
OCO practitioner have treated people with many different complaints. This is a list of complaints we have seen resolve in patients we have treated over the years:
Please note that this is not a complete list. There are many other areas that may be resolved with the help of OCO methods. For more information speak with your practitioner.
Care is “tailor made” for you!
By evaluating YOU the real causes can be addressed and superior results achieved — regardless of complaint. No two patients are the same. Each individual’s makeup is different and OCO methods address the specific needs and physiological tolerances of each individual. This is what makes a treatment at OCO unique.
Who is this for?
OCO treatments are suitable for the whole family.
At each visit the goal is to determine and address what nerve pathways are not functioning at 100%. The approach is very non-invasive, stress & pain free. This makes our treatment suitable for the very young through to the very aged, and those that are very sick or injured. Our methods are some of the safest methods of treatment available.
*Please note that your OCO practitioner is not directly treating your diagnosed condition, organs, etc. The methods used are aimed at influencing your body structure, and the signalling and communication pathways that your brain and body uses to ensure proper function. These methods are designed based on the principles of anatomy, neurology, neuroscience, chiropractic, osteopathy, and acupuncture.
